No single factor has a greater impact on the pricing of your client's workers compensation premium than their Experience Rating Modification. This seminar will promote an in-depth understanding of the factors that drive the modification, and the methodology behind the calculation. Eligibility thresholds, experience periods, and the impact of changes to anniversary rating dates will be made clear. The various types of modifications (Final, Contingent, Preliminary, Slit) will be discussed. The competing impacts of frequency vs. severity will be explained within the context of the effect of a single and multiple claims on the final modification.
Each participant will be provided a copy of NCCI’s ABC’s of Experience Rating booklet (to keep).
